چکیده

An easy to implement modulus-squared Dirichlet (MSD) boundary condition is formulated for numerical simulations of time-dependent complex partial differential equations in multidimensional settings. The MSD boundary condition approximates a constant modulus-squared value of the solution at the boundaries and is defined as ∂Ψ ∂t |b ≈ i Im[ 1 Ψb−1 ∂Ψ ∂t |b−1] Ψb, where Ψ is the complex field and the subscripts b and b− 1 refer to a boundary point and the closest interior point to the boundary, respectively. Application of the MSD boundary condition to simulations of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation is shown, and numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate its usefulness and advantages over other simple boundary conditions.

Dirichlet series and approximate analytical solutions of MHD flow over a linearly stretching ‎sheet

The paper presents the semi-numerical solution for the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) viscous flow due to a stretching sheet caused by boundary layer of an incompressible viscous flow. The governing partial differential equations of momentum equations are reduced into a nonlinear ordinary differential equation (NODE) by using a classical similarity transformation along with appropriate boundary cond...

An algebraic calculation method for describing time-dependent processes in electrochemistry – Expansion of existing procedures

In this paper an alternative model allowing the extension of the Debye-Hückel Theory (DHT) considering time dependence explicitly is presented. From the Electro-Quasistatic approach (EQS) introduced in earlier studies time dependent potentials are suitable to describe several phenomena especially conducting media as well as the behaviour of charged particles (ions) in electrolytes. This leads t...

The smoothed particle hydrodynamics method for solving generalized variable coefficient Schrodinger equation and Schrodinger-Boussinesq system

A meshless numerical technique is proposed for solving the generalized variable coefficient Schrodinger equation and Schrodinger-Boussinesq system with electromagnetic fields. The employed meshless technique is based on a generalized smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) approach. The spatial direction has been discretized with the generalized SPH technique. Thus, we obtain a system of ordinary...

Application of the new extended (G'/G) -expansion method to find exact solutions for nonlinear partial differential equation

In recent years, numerous approaches have been utilized for finding the exact solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations. One such method is known as the new extended (G'/G)-expansion method and was proposed by Roshid et al. In this paper, we apply this method and achieve exact solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations (NLPDEs), namely the Benjamin-Ono equation. It is est...
